Big day today, but I have some down time between events so I thought I'd post and tell everyone about it.

The day started off with a video shoot for the Singers and Songwriters Connection, a locally produced television show that features - get this - singers and songwriters. Today's guest was one Rivers Rutherford, who is not only one of the nicest people you could meet but also an incredibly gifted songwriter. Rutherford's songs have been recorded by Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Gary Allan, Trick Pony, Blake Shelton, Deana Carter, Clay Davidson, Andy Griggs and Montgomery Gentry just to name a few. Being an aspiring writer myself, this was a real treat. I can't wait to see the edited video once it's completed.

Later today... Urban Cowboy for 96.5 the Star! This is the big shebang for the summer at the station, and I'll be there hanging banner, schmoozing, and generally having fun while working. Once pictures are available from the event I'll post here with a link. It's looking to be a great event.

Last but certainly not least in the list of cool new things that have happened to me, I am now officially the Program Director for Beonair.com 80s, our student-run Internet radio station. If you haven't listened before, then why not? I'm still on air, albeit at a different time - I will be doing a team show with Crash (Amy Fouss) Wednesdays from 11 to 1 EST and solo from 1-3. We've got a lot of new talent coming on staff and a lot more great things in store, so be sure to check us out!
